Sample Itinerary: Etolin Island Loop

Sunday (Day 1)

Travel to the yacht in Thorne Bay - welcome aboard the Mad Crabber!
First stop- pull shrimp pots
Travel to beautiful Lymans Cove
Observe wildlife along the way.

Monday (Day 2)

Fish and explore Lymans Cove
Beach combing. Wildlife viewing,
Bears!
Travel to the remote fishing village of Myers Chuck.

Tuesday (Day 3)

Hike and explore Myers Chuck
Fresh baked, locally made, “sticky buns” with breakfast.
Salmon fishing
Wilderness cruise into Vixen Inlet. Set crab pots.

Wednesday (Day 4)

Pull crab pots
travel to scenic Emerald Bay
kayaking and fish, lunch at Emerald Bay.
Scenic cruise into Santa Ana Inlet.

Thursday (Day 5)

Thursday (Day 5)

More crabbing/shrimping in Santa Anna
Hike and explore the water fall and abandoned cannery.
world class halibut fishing just outside.
Whale watching cruise into remote Onslow Island.
Anchor at Onslow.

Friday (Day 6)

Thursday (Day 5)

Final breakfast on the yacht
Return to Thorne Bay
Process/box the frozen fish/crab.
4pm- Float plane back to Ketchikan
